Inspired by our all-new Subway® Signature Wraps, Subway recently launched a contest to find the best (w)rap stars among our team members.
Sandwich Artists™, managers, and franchise owners submitted their best Signature Wrap-inspired rap videos for a chance to win a cash prize.
From the hundreds of entries we received from across the U.S., the top 35 were chosen based on creativity, content, and relevance to the contest theme. We wanted great rhymes and yummy-looking Signature Wraps.
Then a panel of six team members at Subway World Headquarters chose the winners. Check out these highlights from their favorite entries:
Double meat based on average 6" sub.
Nathan T. from Laguna Beach, California, was the big winner! His video, complete with smooth beats, produce juggling, and gorgeous oceanside scenery, scored the highest points across the board. "The video took two days to shoot and one day to edit. I wrote the rap in one sitting," he says.
Here are three things you should know about him:
1. He's a big fan of Earth-friendly farming and production. He says he'll use his prize money to invest in "sustainable agricultural systems and green renewable energy generation mechanisms."
2. His favorite Subway sandwich is a Veggie Delite® on a habanero wrap, which you can find at some Subway locations.
3. His favorite thing about working for Subway? "Getting to make such great friendships with my team and our customers." Aww...
